After trudging 45 minutes through thick forest and marshes, I came face to face with the 22 year old silverback Mugaruka. My pygmie trackers told me to keep a safe distance or Mugaruka would think I was there to steal his harem of 4 females and might attack. Since he is a very big bugger I decided to head their advice.
